Fabiolous Tuesday - Fettuccine with Clams,Shrimp,Octopuss and Cherry Tomatoes

I LOVE MY JOB! I've decided every Tuesday I will post a blog about my day with my clients and a new recipe! I will call it Fabiolous Tuesdays!
Today, we began our day at Teatro Argentino.

"Once the site of the great senate hall, known as the Curia Pompeii, where Julius Caesar was assassinated and which his adopted son, Augustus, therefore ordered to be walled up. Its closure was short-lived, however, and the ancient theatre area was restored and continued to be used until the fifth century AD." http://www.teatrodiroma.net/index_argentina.html

Beautiful morning for a walk through the Jewish Ghetto. As we wondered through the local merchants, my clients had a good time tasting the fresh cheeses that Italy has become known for. We continued on to the famous Campo dei Fiori market where we picked out all of our fresh produce for the day. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campo_dei_Fiori After finding the best deals on clams, shrimp and octopuss; we made our way through Piazza Navonna, by the Pantheon, on up to the Spanish Steps and then down the street to my apartment. Quiet as we entered the foyer as we did't want to disturb the princess who lives above me.

We put on our Fabiolous Cooking Day aprons and poured a glass of wine!

We cooked the clams in a pan with oil, garlic and red pepper.

Once they opened, we took the clams out of their shells. We cut the cherry tomatoes and cooked them in a pan with garlic and oil for 5 minutes on high heat.

Cut the squid and the octopuss into small pieces then we added them to the cherry tomatoes.
Glaze with vernaccia wine.

We cooked the fettuccine in the boiling water then we added the fettuccine to the pan with the sauce. Add clams and shrimp.

We sprinkled the dish with parsley and it was ready to eat!

Great food, good wine, even better conversation!!! That's what a Fabiolous Cooking Day is all about!!!

See you next Tuesday!
